Senior Procurement Engineer
As a Senior Procurement Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the acquisition of goods and services necessary for the plant's operations. Your role will involve strategic planning, supplier management, and ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards. Collaboration with various departments and stakeholders will be essential to optimize procurement processes and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational objectives, including cost reduction, supplier optimization, and risk management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the procurement function.
- Identify and qualify suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost, and other relevant criteria.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities and performance to ensure alignment with organizational requirements and standards.
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives, such as value engineering, supplier consolidation, and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities, including supply chain disruptions, supplier reliability, and geopolitical factors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering only***
- Minimum 10 years-experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Good command in English
