Overview:
We are seeking a Packaging Development Supervisor with a strong focus on New Product Development (NPD) and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the FMCG consumer goods industry. Proficiency in English is a must. The ideal candidate will lead packaging innovation initiatives from ideation to commercialization, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead packaging development projects for new product launches, overseeing the entire process from concept to commercialization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Marketing, Procurement, Operations) to drive packaging innovation and meet project objectives.
- Manage feasibility assessments, design conceptualization, material selection, prototype development, and testing phases.
- Coordinate packaging trials and validations, ensuring successful implementation of new packaging solutions on production lines.
- Conduct risk assessments and troubleshooting during packaging development and commercialization phases.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize packaging processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to packaging.
- Mentor and develop packaging development team members, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Packaging Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in packaging development within the FMCG consumer goods industry.
- Proven track record of leading successful NPD projects.
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with packaging testing protocols and standards.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and sustainability considerations in packaging development is preferred.
