Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Excellence Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational efficiency and excellence across our distribution network. This is a regional role, requiring strategic vision, leadership skills, and a strong background in operational excellence (OPEX) methodologies, including Lean Six Sigma.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational excellence strategies to optimize processes and improve overall efficiency in chemical product distribution.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives throughout the distribution network, using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, streamline operations, and enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize processes, develop best practices, and implement solutions to address operational challenges and opportunities.
- Conduct thorough analysis of operational performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on OPEX principles and methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Drive quality assurance initiatives to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, maintaining a strong focus on safety, environmental sustainability, and product quality.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop and execute strategic initiatives aimed at driving business growth and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Act as a subject matter expert on operational excellence, providing insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the chemical distribution or manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of success in driving operational excellence initiatives, with strong knowledge of OPEX methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma. Black Belt certification highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving change management initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data and metrics to drive informed decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on achieving measurable improvements in operational performance and efficiency.
- Ability to travel within the region as needed.
