Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Manufacturing Director to join our global FMCG company's operations in Vietnam. The Manufacturing Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supply chain management, manufacturing excellence, and possess strong engineering knowledge. Fluency in English is essential, alongside a proven track record of leadership and strategic decision-making in the FMCG industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with company objectives, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and efficient production processes.
    • Drive initiatives to enhance manufacturing capabilities, improve operational efficiency, and achieve cost optimization targets.
    • Provide leadership and direction to the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  1. Supply Chain Management:
  • Collaborate closely with supply chain partners to ensure seamless coordination of production activities, inventory management, and distribution logistics.
    • Monitor and analyze supply chain performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to optimize efficiency and minimize risks.
  1. Manufacturing Excellence:
  • Oversee the execution of manufacturing processes to maintain high-quality standards, adherence to regulatory requirements, and compliance with safety protocols.
    • Champion initiatives for Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and streamline operations.
  1. Engineering Knowledge:
  • Utilize technical expertise to evaluate and optimize manufacturing equipment, processes, and technologies to maximize efficiency and productivity.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify opportunities for innovation, automation, and technological advancements to drive manufacturing excellence.
  1. Team Development:
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and guidance to the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development.
    • Identify training needs and facilitate skill development programs to enhance the capabilities and performance of the manufacturing workforce.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with internal stakeholders, including senior management, cross-functional teams, and external partners.
    • Act as a key liaison between manufacturing operations and other departments to ensure alignment of goals, priorities, and resource allocation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing leadership roles within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong expertise in supply chain management, manufacturing operations, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence, achieving cost optimization targets, and delivering results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in English; Vietnamese language proficiency is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team development, stakeholder engagement, and strategic decision-making.
  • Ability to thrive in a multicultural work environment and effectively collaborate with diverse teams across different regions.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
