My client are one of the Middle East and Africa's leading e-commerce brand and are looking for a VP of Technology to aid in the digital transformation and expansion of their technology functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a large, high-performing team of managers and engineers both on-site and remote.
- Assess the company's current digital and technical capabilities to make recommendations and provide solutions to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Establish and align the technical roadmap for the group
- Lead a complex portfolio of projects such as automation of processes, ERP implementation, platform enhancements etc.
- Identify potential opportunities in the market and provide senior management with updates on the latest technologies
- Build platforms, apps, features/functions
As a VP - Technology, you will need the following:
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- Consultancy experience is highly preferred, as well as e-commerce industry experience
- Must have experience with leading large engineering teams
- Must have a technical background, ideally in software engineering (PHP, Magento)
- A dynamic, proactive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
