One of my clients in the Technology space is looking for a Legal Counsel. You will be responsible for covering APAC and reporting to the General Counsel overseas. About the role

Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate complex technology agreements to support the needs of our sales teams and customers across multiple countries in APAC
- Provide practical legal guidance in a timely manner on a range of legal issues in the regions, including HR matters, data protection and privacy issues
- Support Business' compliance, privacy and data protection initiatives in the region
- Analyze legal risk with attention to detail while creatively overcoming obstacles
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Legal department policies, processes and templates and be a collaborative member of small, collegial legal department
Qualifications
- Common Law qualified with at least 4+ years post qualification experience
- Strong transactional background, with experience in negotiating, drafting and advising clients on technology-related commercial contracts, including multi-jurisdictional transactions, software licensing and cloud services.
- Previous in-house experience at an enterprise software company is a plus, as is multi-lingual capability
- Self-starter able to work in a fast paced, changing environment with ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
- Exceptional communication skills and an ability to engage effectively with a variety of levels and audiences
- Ability and confidence necessary to work independently and across multiple functions
