Senior PMO

(12 months contract)

My client is as establish bank looking to hire a Senior PMO to join in their PMO. Their Project Management Office is made of a dynamic and exciting team, who delivers high quality project management guidelines and standards for the applications that are being used by thousands of end users on daily basis. Your key responsibilities will be to set project management standards and best practices across the department, to lead detailed project management efforts in our Information technology organization, and to oversee the successful releases of our portfolio of products.

You should ideally be a Senior PMO who has extensive experience in working in distributed organisations. Strategic with an extensive track record of successful complex large scale project delivery and know software engineering. You should be champion of risk management and continuous improvement, able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and have a good use of your influence skills.

Responsibilities

  • Follow-up on projects: planning, risk, issues, dependencies, quality
  • Help Project Directors to prepare Steering Committees and Project committees
  • Follow-up on budget and staffing
  • Update and maintenance of Budget tools and PMO referentials
  • Ensure proper project documentation is available
  • Supervise and maintain projects dashboard for top management
  • Contribute to change management activities within the department
  • Continuously improve the efficiency of the current project management process
  • Coach the project managers to deploy new methodologies and processes
  • Propose new templates and process improvements in an efficient way
  • Propose new metrics in order to even better measure the productivity and risks of our projects

Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 5 years experience in project and program management
  • Experience managing large-scale projects across distributed teams
  • Experience in deploying standards for IT project management activities
  • Experience in software engineering and IT service delivery
  • Good experience on Agile project
  • Good knowledge of risk management
  • Experience in change management is a must
  • PMP and ITIL certifications would be a plus
  • Good knowledge of Project Management tools (e.g. Ms Project)
  • Knowledge of software engineering best practices (Agile, continuous value delivery, CI/CD, DevOPS, SDLC)
