Argyll Scott is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Learning and Development Manager to join our client, an international manufacturing firm located in the Eastern Seaboard. As a key member of the HR team, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning and development programs to enhance the skills, knowledge, and performance of our employees. This role requires a deep understanding of training methodologies and best practices, as well as the ability to lead and inspire a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Learning and Development Strategy:
    • Collaborate with senior leadership and HR team to identify organizational training needs and align learning initiatives with business goals.
    • Develop a robust learning and development strategy that encompasses various levels, functions, and locations within the organization.
    • Establish and manage an annual training budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Design and Deliver Training Programs:
    • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training requirements.
    • Create and deliver effective training programs, both instructor-led and online, using a variety of instructional techniques and formats.
    • Develop training materials, including presentations, handouts, job aids, and e-learning modules.
    • Coordinate and deliver train-the-trainer sessions for internal trainers or subject matter experts.
  • Manage Learning and Development Projects:
    • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of training projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using feedback, assessments, and metrics, and make improvements as necessary.
  • Team Management and Leadership:
    • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to a team of learning and development professionals.
    • Set clear performance expectations, conduct performance reviews, and identify training and development opportunities for team members.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and professional growth within the team.
  • Collaborate with External Partners:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with external training providers, industry experts, and educational institutions to leverage external expertise and resources.
    • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in learning and development, incorporating innovative approaches into the organization's training programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in human resources, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Learning and Development Manager or in a similar role, preferably in a large international manufacturing firm.
  • Strong background in instructional design, training methodologies, and adult learning principles.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and develop team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present information, influence stakeholders, and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Fluency in English and Thai languages, both written and verbal.
