Job Description
Responsibilities
The role will assist the General Counsel to:
- Provide legal advice on corporate level to the overall business (including virtual banking, Insurtech and other financial services) and operational matters;
- Manage the legal aspects of projects, particularly relating to Insurtech strategies;
- Provide legal advice at all levels of the organization with a focus on insurance law, general business law, corporate law and technology/data privacy related issues;
- Review, draft and negotiate agreements, legal documents and correspondences related to new business, digital and Insurtech initiatives;
- Prepare relevant template for the legal team for future purpose;
- Support the business lines in all types of contract negotiations, drafting and reviewing relevant agreements, focusing on implementing and improving standard forms and templates for future purpose
- Conduct legal research and co-ordinate in ad-hoc projects
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer in Hong Kong with life insurance/insurance brokerage related experience
- Post-qualification experience gained with a reputable law firm or in-house environment
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese including conversational Putonghua
- PRC qualified will be a plus
