Our client is a established and rapidly growing food/ingredients organisation going through a period of considerable positive growth and change. The Global Head of Procurementreports to the CEO and leads and mentors a diverse team of procurement and buying professionals.
Responsibilities
- Driving strategy & long-term business planning
- Overseeing and executing all procurement activities across all categories, and instrumental in delivering the growth agenda
- Drive the Procurement strategy and plans across all categories to deliver against the business objectives, whilst also delivering the budget
- Drive continuous improvement across the business, creating and implementing best practice across the function
- Lead the sourcing cycle for buying, driving the negotiation process
- Supporting the team to negotiate all contracts with suppliers to achieve the most competitive pricing and strong availability across all Procurement categories
- Lead negotiation for all key suppliers
- Collaborate with supply chain and finance leadership to deliver against business plans
Key requirements
- Extensive commercial sourcing and procurement experience, ideally within food service, food ingredients, FMCG
- Experience managing both inhouse and outsourced models for procurement
- Proven capability to set category strategy and plans
- Financially and commercially astute, with experience of making tough decisions and prioritising positive change programmes
