About our client

Our client is an international luxury retail brand with an enviable reputation across the industry. Due to aggressive growth plans, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a high calibre individual to join this high profile team in Hong Kong, reporting to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the APAC CEO, lead the retail organisation of its geography
  • Oversee company operations to ensure sales profitable growth, retail excellence, efficiency and cost-effective management of resources through the implementation a global strategic plan which is to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth in the region
  • In conjunction with the Head(s) of Brand, set business unit plans. This includes new store and openings and profitability targets
  • Contribute to the development of retail and product concepts and provide feedback to the senior management team on the success of new store designs and concepts
  • Liaise with landlords and create and manage a retail rollout, maintenance, refurbishment and closure plan and ensure that timing for new store openings and staffing requirements is effectively project managed
  • Lead the Marketing team as required with a marketing and promotional plan for the territory, including the development and implementation of new door openings
  • Establish systems and processes to measure the progress and success of the territory and individual stores by profitability and operating excellence on a monthly basis
  • Ensure that all stores are adequately supported on an ongoing basis
  • On a monthly basis, attend brand meetings and contribute to their understanding of company expectations, what improvements are necessary, business progress, new product launches, new store openings and any other pertinent information
  • Monitor competitor activities within the territory (distribution, promotion, pricing, products, etc)
  • Develop a clear understanding and profile of our customers. Understand not only the demographics of the customer base but also the value of different customer segments, retention rates and product preferences
  • Actively participate in senior company leadership team meetings and events
  • Feed into senior management learning's from the operating environments
  • Understand and actively support agreed short and long term company plans, goals and strategies

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years experience in a retail general management position
  • A proven track record of profit and sales growth in challenging environment and market conditions demonstrated through progressively more responsible management role
  • Deep understanding of the brands, strong knowledge and passion for consumer brands in the region
  • Negotiation experiences with landlords in key cities and key locations
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Able to lead a retail organisation and motivate top performance
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, entrepreneurial, can work with lean organisation
  • Multitasking, self motivated and target oriented, strong team player
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese
