The challenge:
Our client, a European multinational food-products corporation, wanted to transform its Digital and e-Commerce function, including the rollout of an online club and the launch of a direct-to-consumer arm, to become industry leading. Whilst the consumer goods industry is home to some of the best talent, when it comes to Digital and e-commerce it lacks cutting edge, best-in-class functional capability. They had tried to hire a lead Head of Digital Centre of Excellence role with a view to then hiring a team underneath but had not found what they were looking for.
Our solution:
We worked closely with the management team to understand their end goal and to ensure that a strong candidate pool and pipeline was in line with their requirements. We defined a service level agreement and agreed to measure success, before reworking the proposition to include a digitalisation brochure, so that it landed well with candidates from outside consumer goods. We explored other industry sectors such as Fashion and Technology to define best-in-class capabilities, and to hone a shortlist.
The outcome:
We hired the Head of Digital Centre of Excellence from a global Fashion retailer
Our process was rolled out to deliver five further roles in Digital and e-Commerce
Further pipeline and talent pooling were agreed for future vacancies in the same space
