About Our Client

Our client, a global personal care manufacturer and distributor, is now looking for a new Senior Project Accounting & Finance Controller to join their fast moving and dynamic team in Thailand. They have operations in more than 16 countries with products presence in every continent.

Job Summary

In this position, you will be reporting directly to the Group CFO and coordinate cross-functionally with the leadership team from other departments to drive successful project execution. Job Description

  • You will be responsible for leading the project accounting & finance team in Thailand and oversee all project accounting & finance activities
  • Assist with month end close process by reviewing project reporting to ensure project financials are correctly stated
  • Provides guidance to project accountants and resolves project accounting queries when required
  • Participate in budget development of newly proposed projects to ensure consistent and optimal project budget development
  • Responsible for ensuring development and maintenance of monthly cash flow forecasting for all projects
  • Ensures a high level of communication of financial project management information to other internal customers in other departments
  • Responsible for coordinating the timely preparation of annual budget forecasts for all projects and subsequent roll-up into corporate budget figures
  • Develops enhanced project management financial reports to assist project management, provision of regularly updated cash flow forecasts for projects, and development of methods to report financial program metrics
  • Provide project reporting and analysis on key project metrics and assist in the development of project accounting policies and procedures
  • Provide oversight of project accounting activities to ensure compliance with established guidelines
  • Ensure all financial activities and requirements relating to project close-outs are carried out in a timely and budget-friendly manner
  • Execute ad-hoc projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field required
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive finance, analysis, and leadership experience required, with a minimum of 3 years of direct supervisory experience
  • Prior experience with manufacturing project financing and accounting preferred
  • Advanced skill level using Excel and proficient in all other Microsoft products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others
  • Comfortable presenting information to all levels of the company
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must be accurate and detail oriented
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Focus on continuous improvements with a proven track record for improving process efficiencies and solving problems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Requires excellent English skills to understand and compose correspondence, proofread documents, and effectively communicate with internal staff and clients
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
