The Director of Enterprise Architecture is a senior position within the team, and has responsibility for shaping, setting and delivering the architectural direction and plan, in partnership with Business leaders and global IT Leadership teams.

Specifically, this role will own solving several fundamental underlying problems with current maturity and effectiveness of IT Architecture across the group. Including;

*The current fragmented systems landscape which is impacting business agility and effectiveness of operations
*Reducing the 'cost of complexity', which has resulted from a reactive and piecemeal approach to IT delivery and service provision.
*Addressing data integration and interoperability issues which are inhibiting the ability to use Data and Information and is a critical enabler to empowering our staff to make decisions with accurate & timely information
*Moving to a culture of standardisation, especially with respect to 'commodity IT in Public Cloud' domains, which will further reduce complexity, cost and increase business and IT agility
*Injection of the tools, techniques and leadership as a key catalyst for the IT function as a whole moving to be a more proactive and valued business partner.

Experience

*Solid IT experience within a Global Media Business
*Solid experience, including a significant track record as an Enterprise Architect, 5+ years
*A highly capable, all round IT leader, preferably in the B2B sector, with experience of change and transformation.
*Accustomed to dealing with senior executives, at ease with the Board, and exceptionally customer focused.
*International experience
*Demonstrated deep knowledge of technical architectures and standards, BI and analytics tools, OKTA, Office 365, ERP and CRM systems.
*Experience of using leading Architecture tools
*Cross-functional exposure (and an ability to relate IT to business problems and opportunities)
*Excellent track record of bringing innovative ideas that deliver a competitive edge in terms of process and efficiency.
*Solid IT foundation spanning 10+ years, with a broad awareness of IT, also spanning Build and Run/ Service Delivery
*Experience leading (via matrix) geographically distributed teams
*Experience of delivering the technology elements business transformation programmes; able to bring rigour, discipline and governance along with clear programme management methodologies in a complex organisation.
