Senior Mainframe Developer/Architect- Financial Services; Cantonese speaking

Our client is one of large Financial Servies based in Hong Kong. Due to the expansion of their latest business across the APAC region, they are currently dedicated to hiring a Senior Mainframe developer/Architect to join their development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development, quality, team leadership, and working closely with end-to-end users across the Asia Pacific region with public-facing applications.

Major Responsibilities
  • Responsible for development of strategic business initiatives as well as maintenance of existing application systems
  • Participate in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and implementing computer programs
  • Produce necessary documentation whenever applicable
  • Analyse and define user requirements
  • Design and develop systems specifications
  • On call for emergency production incidents and provide fire fighting support
Requirements
  • University education with over 10 years' mission-critical system development experience preferably in the financial sector for Application Development
  • Proficient in z/OS, CICS, COBOL and VSAM
  • Knowledge in Java EE technologies and web-based development, particularly in EJB, XML, XSL, Servlets, JMS, HTML, JQuery, JavaScript, Jasper Reports, WAS, Websphere MQ, Spring and SQL will be an advantage.
  • Good technical writing skill and prior working experience in banking sector is preferable
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
