As the Legal Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all legal matters, ensuring compliance with relevant Thai laws and regulations. Responsibilities:
- Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable Thai laws, regulations, and industry standards in the healthcare and technology sectors.
- Contract Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, licensing agreements, and customer contracts, in compliance with Thai laws and regulations.
- Risk Assessment: Identify legal risks specific to the Thai market and provide advice on potential legal issues, ensuring proactive risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Legal Research: Stay up-to-date with changes in Thai laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting the health tech sector, and provide guidance to internal stakeholders accordingly.
- Compliance Programs: Develop and implement compliance programs and policies specific to Thai legal requirements to ensure adherence to local legal and ethical standards.
- Litigation Management: Coordinate and manage external counsel in litigations and disputes in Thailand, as necessary.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, product development, and finance, to provide legal guidance and support in various business initiatives, while considering Thai legal considerations.
- External Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with external legal advisors, regulatory bodies, and Thai government agencies as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field from a recognized Thai university.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Thai corporate law, contract negotiation, and legal compliance.
- Previous experience (around one year) working in an ecommerce firm or online platform in Thailand is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of Thai healthcare, technology, and ecommerce industries, including relevant Thai laws and regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills in both English and Thai languages.
- Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues within the Thai context, provide practical advice, and develop effective solutions.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Adaptable and resourceful, with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
