Argyll Scott is helping the client looking for IT Director-Digital/eCommerce. This position will be responsible for all aspects of IT including all IT functions including IT Infrastructure, Network, Business Applications, Helpdesk, Project management as well as Project execution.

The Role requires the individual to work closely with senior management in local market and collaborate with regional IT teams to achieve IT and Business objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

  • He/she manages Information Systems entity at Country level to ensure the alignment of the Information Systems objectives with the business strategy defined for the entity and the Group IT policies.
  • Define the IT strategy for the entity in line with the business strategy and the IT Group policies, develop IT vision/mission, roadmaps and policies including security and quality
  • Develop IT master plan and translate it into an annual plan with milestones and IT budget
  • Develop business cases to relevant stakeholders addressing political, financial, and organizational interests
  • Keep abreast of the emerging trends and technologies, evaluate their business value, applicability and utility to the Group / specific business and participate in discussions around innovation in relation to external market/technology trends
  • Define and review KPIs, metrics and SLAs and oversee performance
  • Manage and control the overall IT budget and expenses of the entity
  • Identify internal and external benchmark to compare the internal performance with industry best practices
  • Guarantee the proper functioning of the IT operations and the quality of the services provided to the users of his entity by seeking continuous improvement
  • Ensure the staff optimization and the development of strategic capabilities
  • Ensure the overall scalability, and sustainability of the global IT landscape for the entity
  • Manage strategic suppliers / vendors (Technical, Commercial and Legal aspects)
  • Manage the overall risk assessment for the entity
  • Promote the IT and digital and ensure the communication around IT concepts and the main evolutions and to all stakeholders of his/her entity
  • Rapidly acquires new knowledge on IT solutions and keeps constantly updated of technological opportunities & market trends in his/her field
  • Organizes at his/her level the relevant transmission of the technical and/or project management skills and "know how"
  • Clarifies and simplifies technical concepts / solutions to facilitate action and decision making
  • Listens actively to his partners/clients, to decode needs, qualify them properly and transform them in relevant solutions
  • Takes change management and communication initiatives to facilitate the implementation of solutions and users satisfaction
  • Ability to coach, challenge and develop teams in a cross functional environment and/or matrixed organization
  • Manages efficient interactions with both internal and external contributors to win support
  • Manages methodology, timing, budget and resource allocation on projects (independently of the role within the organization)
  • Imagines and promotes alternative options/solutions to match client needs
  • Understands the "big picture" of the business, the operating model, the processes and the roles within the organizations
  • Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies (e.g. Agile)
  • Understand approaches to define project steps and tools to set up action plans
  • Rapidly acquires new knowledge on IT solutions and keeps constantly updated of technological opportunities & market trends in his/her field

Key Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited college or university is required. Master's degree preferred
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of experience working in IT management or specific IT domains such as Digital/eCommerce or other business domain applications
  • Exposure to web development platforms,eCommerce and/or CRM
  • Strong experience in multi-nationals with Global/Regional/Local matrix environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of Security Parameters and Data Protection
  • Dedication to compliance as reflected in comprehensive policy, standard, and procedure development and implementation
  • IT certifications in ITIL, Scrum, PMP is a plus
  • Track records on managing budgeting process and cycles (Trend Management)
  • Proficiency in English and Thai
  • Have a customer-focused and "can-do" attitude with strong ownership
  • Team player to drive team deliverables
  • Excellent communication skills, to include both verbal and written mediums
  • Be Pro-active and anticipatory in thinking style with ability to understand customer needs and business priorities
