Are you an ACA qualified technical accountant with management experience?
I am working on a role within financial services for a reputable brand based in Central London. This is a 4 month initial contract, with the potential to extend to a year. They are looking for someone that is from a Big 4 background with knowledge on IFRS and ideally management experience.
The role offers a rare opportunity to sharpen both their technical accounting and financial planning skills through covenant forecasts. This is a high profile role with direct access to the Group Financial Director and CFO. You will look after the group external reporting function of the business with the support of three or two qualified accountants.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Manage preparation, review and analysis of consolidated financial statements; including supporting going concern and goodwill impairment calculations
- Prepare and review the financial aspects of the external reports, ie press release and investor presentations
- Manage the training process of new accounting standards (IFSR and UK GAAP) and/ or new reporting process to the local finance teams
- Assist the transfer pricing calculations and recharge process
- Manage preparation, review and analysis of consolidated financial statements; including supporting going concern and goodwill impairment calculations
- Contribute to ad hoc projects work such as disposals, acquisitions, refinancing and reorganisations
