Argyll Scott are supporting a Global leader in FMCG, to find the best candidate as their FD to join the Finance team, with a country scope of 7 countries. The role holds full P&L Ownership of the Market Unit.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the Commercial Finance process ensuring the commercial & finance team are fully aware of requirements in a timely manner.
- Lead and coach a team of Finance business partners to deliver standardized processes; providing point of escalation where necessary and supporting it in the root cause analysis of issues.
- Provide timely & accurate submissions of month end actuals & budgets, including variance analysis.
- Consolidate business results & estimates and communicate updates to the Business, providing insights into the underlying drivers of the results.
- Liaise with all Finance team in the region to drive the highest degree of Financial Planning, P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow management.
- Work on various strategic and long-term growth initiatives within the region.
- Lead and manage all key Financial planning and reporting system implementations and changes.
- Act as a People Manager, Financial Advisor and Trainer ensuring local business has a sound financial understanding and awareness of actions taken or contemplated.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Leadership experience within the region in a relevant FMCG/ Consumer Goods industry; strong managerial skill with 3+ years of management experience.
- University Degree in Finance/Business-Related field + 4/5 years of related FP&A/Commercial Finance work experience.
- Effective communicator (written and oral English), capable of influencing, negotiating in a multi-cultural environment; strong analytical skills.
- Have an influencing and consultative approach and display leadership within the team.
- Distributor management experience across multiple geographies.
- In-depth understanding of US GAAP, Financial systems like (Anaplan, Hyperion, BPC).
