F&B Project/Operations Manager/50k/Banking
A global company in Hong Kong is looking for a talented F&B Project/Operations Manager (6 month contract). The ideal candidate should have a good knowledge of catering management with excellent organizational skills. Please read the job description below and apply for it.
Main responsibilities
Research and Development
- Analyzes and defines market share, competitor market share, and available market share by product market to identify new trends and opportunities.
- Provides leadership and support for product design, development, refinement, and implementation by initiating research to identify consumer needs; developing new products to meet consumer needs; researching product consumer acceptance; and working with production to identify process improvement.
- Prioritized new concepts/products during the development process.
Catering and Wine management
- Create and update the wine list in collaboration with the company's preferred wine supplier and caterers.
- In charge of food and wine pairings
- Provide wine recommendations to multiple stakeholders or event planners based on their tastes and food preferences.
- Examine the cost structure of various wine varieties and prices, and negotiate purchase prices with vendors.
- Ensure that wines are served at the proper temperature and taste and in the appropriate glassware.
- Manage the wine cellar and keep it well-stocked.
- Monitor the pantry's operations.
- Assist the Head of Hospitality Services in supervising all catering and event facility maintenance and implementation aspects.
Event and Project administration
- Proactively manage project delivery by balancing planning, scope, schedule, budget, communications, and risks.
- Ensure the project's scope and objectives are clearly defined and agreed upon with all relevant stakeholders.
- Articulates the targeted benefits to stakeholders and accepts joint responsibility for benefit realization
- Report project or program progress, issues, dependencies, and risks to project or program leadership and committees and make recommendations to influence decision-making to maintain delivery progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor's / Degree in Food & Beverage, Wine Study, Hospitality Management, or related disciplines, with related wine certifications or equivalent to Master Sommelier level, and a minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience in 5-star luxury hotels, with at least two years experience as a Head Sommelier managing the wine portfolio independently.
- A deep understanding of international wines, vintage merits, and procurement management is required.
- Have a good command of English in both written and spoken. Other language abilities are advantageous.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Teams, SharePoint, Excel and PowerPoint is required; knowledge of Confluence and Jira is preferred.
