Our Client

An internationally renowned FMCG Consumer Goods company is hiring an M&A Leader APAC to manage the growth and development of an entirely new Business Unit.

The M&A Lead will be leading the acquisition and financial integration operations, reporting to the CFO Asia. The role oversees all matters relating to acquisition finance, business case analysis, post acquisition reviews, financial due diligence process and financial integration relating to acquisition completion.

Key responsibilities -

  • Support implementation of M&A strategy to align our acquisition goals with the overall Asia operating plan.
  • Monitor and update the acquisition pipeline and coordinate next steps with other development team members on projects, including site visits, preparation of presentations, and delivery of proposed deal terms.
  • Develop business case for potential acquisitions, perform analysis of target company financials, and develop pro forma financial models
  • Support valuation determination and negotiation of LOIs and definitive documents.
  • Coordinate due diligence efforts, support due diligence relationship with the target to guide them through the diligence process, and summarize key findings of due diligence.
  • Prepare governance deliverables, such as acquisition papers or a slide deck, for acquisition opportunities to be presented.
  • Assist with transaction execution, coordinate with integration lead, and ensure that target integration questions are appropriately addressed and connected to the appropriate associate.
  • Collaborate with external and internal counsel on definitive agreement negotiations, including reviewing financial / economic deal points, asset allocations, and disclosure schedules.
  • Collaborate with FP&A on in-depth look back analysis of completed acquisitions to compare performance to business development deal projected performance.

Experience Required:

CFA, CPA, CA, ACCA Qualified Corporate Finance Professional

At least 5-10 years of corporate finance, M&A, transaction services experience within Asia/Singapore

The successful incumbent will provide expert advice and guidance, enabling and influencing decision making in a "start-up" environment, thus a highly driven self-starter.
