Argyll is helping the client looking for CIO. This role is responsible for oversee and develop information technology strategies to ensure that they support the company's goals/vision, ensure alignment with technology roadmap and provide guidance to local team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop technical aspects of the company's strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
  • Ensuring that technological resources meet the company's short and long-term needs
  • Outline the goals for research and development
  • Making executive decisions on behalf of the company's technological requirements
  • Maintaining a consumer-focused outlook and aiding in the delivery of IT projects to market
  • Staying on top of technology trends and developments
  • Ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards
  • Establish IT policies, strategies, and standards
  • Develop, approve and control technology spends and budgets
  • Design and customise technological systems and platforms to improve customer experience
  • Plan the implementation of new systems and provide guidance to IT teams and other staff within the organisation
  • Oversee the technological infrastructure in the organisation to ensure optimal performance
  • Direct and organise IT-related projects
  • Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain competitive advantage
  • Analyse the costs, value and risks of information technology to advise management and suggest actions

Key Requirements

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
  • Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
  • Advanced technological skillset and a demonstrated history with technology
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure
  • Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation
  • Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • A strong strategic and business mindset
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
